Venue Information

The Property
Sprawling above the Pacific Ocean on the Palos Verdes Peninsula lays this spectacular 94 acre property which was purchased in by the current owners in 1994. From the beginning, this local family always knew that this magnificent piece of real estate would be ideal for a vineyard, organic vegetable gardens and event venue. The gardens came first followed by the venue and the vineyard. The driveway for the property is a half mile long and winds past the ocean and vineyards up to the event garden.

The Event Garden
The event garden is the heart of the property and is one of the most extraordinary places to hold a special event. It is a truly elegant and beautifully landscaped setting for a most unforgettable celebration. Guests will be captivated by the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding habitat. From a casual dinner to elegant reception – the possibilities for an exceptional event are only limited by your imagination. It is basically a blank palette where your custom event can be created. The venue is available for weddings, private or corporate events, filming, photography and charitable endeavors to support the local community. To ensure an exceptional experience only one event per day is celebrated at Catalina View Gardens. Making it even more exclusive only 30 events per year are held here.

The Vineyard
This beautiful hillside vineyard was planted in 2013. It is home to more than 5,600 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape vines. The Pinot Noir grape is known to be fickle, and it thrives in cooler coastal regions. The Chardonnay grape, a very distant relative of Pinot Noir, also thrives in cooler hillside coastal regions. These two varietals are perfectly suited to the setting at Catalina View Gardens. We are anxiously awaiting the first official harvest in the Fall of 2016.

The Gardens
There are approximate 4 acres of certified organic vegetable gardens on the property, and we are honored to have Terranea growing much of their farm-to-table vegetables at Catalina View Gardens. Since acquiring the property, the family has farmed fruits and vegetable including avocados, heirloom tomatoes, olives, citrus and numerous herbs.
